Our Faith Journey

Our Faith Journey traces the remarkable story of the early Lutheran refugees who left their Prussian homeland in the 1830s and made their way to South Australia, settling in the Barossa Valley and surrounding regions. Facing religious persecution for their refusal to conform to a state-imposed church, these courageous men, women, and children risked everything for the freedom to worship according to their faith.

Across four sessions, this series follows their journey from the villages of Prussia to the shores of South Australia, exploring the key figures, decisions, and events that shaped the Lutheran community we know today. Whether you have deep roots in the Barossa or are simply curious about the history behind it, you’ll find this series both informative and inspiring.
