Living Free: Session 2 – Part 2
In this session, Doctor Noel Due explores how shame and self condemnation can distort identity. Shame tells a person that they are fundamentally flawed, not simply that they have made mistakes. This belief creates hiding, defensiveness, and isolation.
He draws attention to the difference between conviction and condemnation. Conviction leads toward repentance and restoration, while condemnation traps a person in hopelessness. The gospel addresses shame by restoring identity rather than merely correcting behaviour.
Doctor Noel Due reminds listeners that freedom grows where grace is received deeply. Accepting forgiveness and belonging can feel unfamiliar, yet it is central to living freely. As shame is replaced with truth, relationships and self understanding begin to heal.
